Terms and Conditions
We are using FedEx 2Day to deliver throughout Canada (Note the shipping locations below to see if you qualify).
Our processing time varies between 1 to 3 days as your products will be prepared upon order to ensure their freshness.
Upon shipment you will receive an e-mail notification containing a tracking number so that you can view the status of your order online.
A signature is required for all deliveries.
To allow clients to receive their package to either a residential address, apartment complex or a commercial address, we will not require the recipient to sign themselves for the package. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the client to inform any third party of an arriving package. Once the package is signed for, it is considered delivered. (You might want to choose your third party wisely to avoid magical or sudden disappearance of your chocolates )

Note: FedEx 2Day Canada delivers to most metropolitan areas. A list of postal codes is available on their website for your reference.
Outside of Canada:
We do not currently ship to international addresses, but are interested in shipping to the US, Europe and Asia in the next year. Please inform us of your interest in receiving our products – we will keep you posted on future developments.
Why don’t we ship to Manitoba or Saskatchewan?
Both provinces have special tax requirements for online businesses. We plan on shipping to those provinces later on, if we receive enough interest.

Summer Shipping Restrictions
Due to their heat sensitivity, we do not ship the products below between June and September:
- Chocolates (squares & bars)
- Hot Chocolates
- Chocolates Hazelnut Spread
Iced Hot Chocolates and Caramels Spreads CAN be shipped during that period.
Note: Summer Shipping Restrictions do not apply to orders placed for “In Store Pickup” as most products are still available in store in the summer. Simply pursue your shopping and choose “In Store Pickup” upon payment.
Other Shipping Restrictions
We do not ship to PO boxes.
Refunds & Returns
Chocolaterie de la Nouvelle France stands by its products and services. We make every effort to ensure that the product received is in the same condition it was upon leaving our premises.
We cannot be held responsible for delivery issues or delays caused by weather, mechanical failure or any act beyond our control including incorrect or incomplete information (names & addresses) inputted by the purchaser on the original web order.
Due to the perishable nature of our products and their sensitivity to heat and humidity, we are unable to provide refunds or exchanges. By choosing to purchase in our store or online, you are automatically deemed to have read and understood our terms and conditions.

Chocolaterie de la Nouvelle France employs PayPal for easy secure ecommerce transactions. You (the user) do not need to create a PayPal account in order to pay. The user without a PayPal account can choose to pay as a “guest”.
